WALKING WITH INTEGRITY - Audio 2 Mp3 Download
The most dangerous man in town is the one who has nothing to lose. He’ll take any risk, because there’s no “downside” – nothing to lose. If you’re ever in prison, don’t pick a fight with a guy on “death row”, because you can’t scare him. He has nothing to lose.
Why don’t we take more risks as Christians? It’s because we have something to lose. When we’ve lost everything, the last thing every human tries to hang onto is their reputation. But, Philippians 2 says that Jesus made Himself of NO REPUTATION.
As long as we hold onto our secrets, trying to “look good” to the world around us, satan has something he can use to threaten us. He can threaten to ruin our reputation – to tell our secrets.
That’s why the 4 lepers were the most dangerous men in town. They had to say “Unclean” every time they approached someone on the street. They had to shout their secret – by law. So, they had NOTHING TO LOSE.
The Bible says that there is nothing hidden that won’t be revealed and nothing covered that won’t be uncovered. So, that means that all secrets are TEMPORARY. So, listen to this teaching and learn how to be the person with NOTHING TO LOSE.
In the second teaching, Mark explains the importance of relationships. And, the 3 most important types of relationships we need are:
Spiritual Fathers: know everything about us, our weaknesses, our failures, our flaws, and still love us enough to invest their time and counsel, to help us become the best version of ourselves that we can be. A Spiritual Father is someone whose counsel you take readily, even if it is rebuke, because you know that their motive is to help you. Do you have someone in your life whose counsel and rebuke you will take readily, without argument or disagreement?
Spiritual Brothers: also know our weaknesses, our failures, our flaws, and love us anyway. But, they help to keep us grounded, to keep us humble, because they know our secrets, and to inspire us to do more – to reach greater heights in God.
Spiritual Sons: are those we pour our lives into. We duplicate ourselves in them, but our goal is to make them better than we are, because we love them, and their success is our success. A Spiritual Son keeps you on your toes, because you know that they are watching you, following in your footsteps, so you walk more carefully, cautiously, knowing that your decisions affect others.
