History of Mark Gorman and Family
Mark Gorman was raised in a church environment as the son of Pastors Marvin & Virginia Gorman. At age 5 Mark began singing in church with his older brother and younger sister. Their trio has recorded five albums, and Mark has recorded 7 solo singing albums.
Mark preached his first sermon at age 17, and entered full time evangelistic ministry at age 19. Mentored by his father, Mark began seeing miracles in his services at an early age, as he learned to flow in the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
In 1980, at age 22, Mark spoke internationally for the first time, when he was invited to preach in the nation of Australia. On that visit, he spoke in many of Australia's largest churches, and was invited to return for ministry the following year. Since that time, he has ministered in Australia on more than 15 different visits.
Upon returning from Australia in 1980, Mark married Gina Capdeboscq, whom he had known for 7 years since meeting her at his home church in New Orleans. Mark & Gina’s first child, Kenneth, was born in 1983. And in 1987, their second child, Sharah, was born.
For several years, Gina home schooled their children, so the family could travel together in ministry. Currently, their son, Kenneth, lives in New Orleans, and is doing post-graduate studies for a career in the medical field. Their daughter Sharah and her husband, Michael, live in Long Island, NY, where Michael has an electrical business
In 1992 Mark began speaking in business conventions in the United States and other countries as a motivational speaker. This gave him the opportunity to speak into the lives of thousands of business people, through these unique opportunities to carry the gospel message outside the church walls.
Nearly 170,000 people have come forward to accept Christ in business functions where Mark has spoken. In addition to the United States, Canada & Mexico, Mark has also had opportunity to speak in Africa, Europe, England, the Netherlands, Wales, Israel, Singapore, Venezuela, Australia and New Zealand.
Mark’s teachings have been used by departments of Ford Motor Company, Campbell Soup, Coca Cola, Office Depot and many other large corporations. Although these are motivational presentations, all the teaching is Bible-based. Mark makes no apologies for the Bible content in his business presentations, and tells his audience that the Bible is the greatest success book ever written.
After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Mark & Gina moved to Franklin, TN, a suburb of Nashville. They lived there until 2013, when they returned to New Orleans to start a church, Grace Christian Center of New Orleans, where they now pastor.
